Letters
When you subscribe, Casting Dreams stores your email address and the date you joined to send poems, reflections, writing prompts, and news about editions. Letters have not launched yet. Your email is not displayed publicly. Every letter must include your personal unsubscribe link. The unsubscribe page removes your address from the list when you confirm using that link.
Your reading shelf
Your saved poem choices are stored privately under your signed-in account. They are not displayed to other readers. Remove a poem using its save button.
Your private journal
Journal pages and unsent letter drafts are stored under your signed-in account. The site does not display them to other readers or include them in the owner’s review queue. They are stored using the site’s hosting service; this is not an end-to-end encrypted journal. You can download your writing or delete an entry. Deleting removes the entry and any submitted copy from the active site database.
Installed apps
The website app stores public offline reading assets on your device. It does not cache private journal pages, account pages, or submitted writing for offline use. You can remove this cached content through your browser’s website-data settings.
The iPhone and Android app project has a separate on-device journal and text-size preference. These are saved locally and are not sent to Casting Dreams or synced with your signed-in website journal. The app does not encrypt this journal itself; device backups may include it. Delete entries in the app or export a copy through your device’s share options. Uninstalling may remove local writing. Sharing or exporting sends only what you choose through your selected app or service. The bundled app has no analytics or paid ads. Opening the online collection uses the website and its policy.
Sharing an unsent letter
Only letters you explicitly submit with permission enter the owner’s review queue. Submission saves a separate copy of that version. Editing your private draft does not change the submitted copy. Approved letters appear publicly with your chosen pen name. You can withdraw the submitted copy in your journal. You retain ownership; permission to display your letter does not include permission to sell it.
Reader writing
Your submitted name, title, and writing are stored for review. Approved pieces are displayed publicly with your chosen name. Use a pen name if you prefer. You keep ownership of your writing; submitting grants permission to display it on Casting Dreams. Submission does not grant permission to sell your work or include it in a book.
Site services
Site hosting and sign-in services process the information needed to operate Casting Dreams. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. No paid advertising is active.
